National Road Safety Council (NRSC) – Launch of the First Motorcycle Training Centre in Jamaica
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the road fatalities in Westmoreland continued to climb, leaving families without loved ones and rocking the nation into dizzying overwhelm at the devastating news. Plans were developed to launch a $52-million virtual training and motorcycle simulator programme, the first of its kind in the island, to tackle the ballooning issue. The project, spearheaded by the Ministry of National Security, allowed for the delivery of important content to riders while addressing their physical capabilities and readiness. The NRSC relied on us for public relations strategy, planning and managing a live Outside Broadcast with one of the top local radio stations to launch the training centre and manage publicity for a two-day training programme. The result? It turned out to be the most successful training held by the NRSC. We secured coverage in prime time TV news, radio news and talk shows, newspapers (full page stories) and online outlets.
